I've found that Warriors get no respect in PvP (and not very much in PvE either). Everyone assumes you're just an idiot with a HULK SMASH!!! mentality and that you'll just die a lot.

It's obvious that this stereotype is generated from the heavy use of Warrior (especially Warrior/Monk) as a starter class. All I want to say: GIVE US WARRIORS SOME RESPECT! Some of us can do amazing things in PvE and PvP, even if some other Warriors just plain out suck.

There is no worst class. There is no best class. It all depends on how you play with your class.

Don't worry about what other people comment or think. It's you who play this game and fun is what's important. They can disprove any class or build but they can never disprove "fun". So play warrior if you find it enjoyable. I like to collect weapons so I too enjoy melee classes. True, warrior is easy to play, and calling a warrior player noob is like calling someone who just want to relax and use less brain at the end of a busy day stupid. Just pure ignorance.

Sure, a pure tank sucks, but who the hell makes a pure tank (besides n00bs)?

Here's the scenario I imagine is quite common:

N00b X installs Guild Wars and starts playing. He creates a new character and is asked to choose PvE or PvP.

"Well duh, if you start at level 20 with PvP, that's the better option," says n00b X.

So he chooses PvP. He makes his first character, a Warrior, because "that armor looks sooooo cool". Then he is asked where he wants to go. He can't choose Guild Battle (because he has no Guild), so he's left with "Competition Arenas" and "Tomb of the Primeval Kings". He picks Tombs, because, of course, it sounds cool.

Wash, rinse, and repeat five million times and suddenly pretty much all the Warriors in Tombs are just n00bs. Kinda frustrating when I have a really good W/N build to use, but no one wants me.

Warrior, together with rangers, are the only two classes that truely exist in REAL life. All casters exist only in fantasy. Go to any history museum and show me a magic wand/staff please. Hope that help out all warriors who feel being put down by those magic users.

I have a W/R. I love her to death; she's absolutely beautiful in every way. She's mighty, but graceful. When I play in PUGs, I don't expect respect, nor should the players expect respect from me. Don't get me wrong, I give benefit of the doubt, and am civil. I earn their respect by showing them my capabilities of owning the hell out of the monsters. I show my usefulness. I always compliment my team mates on jobs well done, especially the monks. I keep a synergistic team, and, most people I play with say that I keep the team moving.

Regardless, each clase is useful. I never call my self a "TANK", as that is a cliche term that demands disrespect. I refer to myself as what I really am "A direct-damage axe warrior."

Warrior/Monks are nice, too. They are capable of enduring massive amounts of damage in order to give casters time to fling out their nukes. This is an invaluable asset.

I chose Warrior/Ranger so that I could setup traps that cause certain conditions, and use skills that will amplify those conditions.

Do not worry, though. Know that as a warrior, you are part of the integral synnergy required for success.

This is why people think warriors are stupid and ignorant. I always go to random arena pvp when the day has been too taxing and all I do is click and run around.

nOOB X wouldn't have any skills to start off with in PVP if this is Xs 1st charactor.They are still locked.I made my War/Monk on an RPg theme as it is a family and the Father was a Warrior got Killed by the Charr in the defending the Northern Frontier.The Mother is for the Most part a Healing Monk so all my charators are just following a Family tradition.

This doesn't bother nOOB X as much as you think, as he will see the Paladin Premade class and jump all over that.

Unfortunatley we can't really do much to help out guys who think that tanks are godly all around, they have to figure that out for themselves. They don't read these forums and will probably join a spam guild with 30 other members who think like they do. As for most players brand new to PVP, only through losing over and over will they see that "Hey, I don't appear to be getting attacked until after my other three group members are dead. I don't really need my healing breeze. Maybe if I take out my healing spells and add in this attack skill, I can maybe benefit my team more and win a match!"
